MEET BOB QUICK

Forest Gump on a bicycle. He's ridden across America four times to say thank you to all firefighters and first responders just like the ones that saved his life.

He's had 34 heart procedures, suffered three strokes, 20 stents have been placed in his heart, a pacemaker implanted, and a quadruple bypass surgery but as long as his heart keeps going, so does he.

As Bob says, "NEVER QUIT, NEVER EVER!"

Biking Across America

In 2013 Bob Quick began biking across America to thank those in return who continue to save his life.

In 2004, Bob suffered a massive heart attack. Since that day, Bob has dedicated his life to the saying, “It isn’t what you can do for yourself, it’s what you can do for your fellow man.”

Since 2013, Quick began cycling across the country to thank all first-responders for what they do and how they saved his life.

Quick biked across America in 2013, 2016, 2017 and 2018. His journey in 2018 came to a halt in Nebraska as health complications surfaced. Bob was not able to resume and complete his route until September 2021.

This will be his last bicycle ride across America. Bob plans to continue his work to inspire and motivate others and bring awareness to Heart Disease, Health and Wellness.
